Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Recreational facility/institution. Tasks: Set up rides and amusements. Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage. Monitor safety area. Perform maintenance on rides and equipment. Collect tickets and fees, and rent or sell sports and accessory equipment. Assist patrons on and off rides. Check motor room equipment, gear boxes, carriage and tension systems for safe operation. Arrange for maintenance and repair work. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Oversee cleaning of specialty and difficult items. Provide customer service. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
