Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: In shop. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Welding experience. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Licence (310S). Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering. Highway vehicle tires and wheels. Brake system. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Manual dexterity. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
