Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Noisy. Tasks: Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. Interpret electrical code specifications. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Participate in machinery installation, repair and maintenance. Assist in operation, repair and maintenance. Ensure safety procedures are followed. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Organized. Team player.
