Knowledge, planning, coordinating, educating, and communicating are significant attributes of the Emergency Preparedness Manager?s leadership success. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:A diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in emergency management, or a related discipline, that includes courses in emergency planning, response, and hazard and risk assessment. Minimum of 5 years' directly related experience in emergency response or preparedness. Valid Class 5 BC Driver's license, or equivalent. Experience as an emergency management professional in a local government organization. The ability to understand maps and related materials used by EMBC or other government agencies in Emergency Management planning. First Aid Level 1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to clearly, confidently, and professionally present information in diverse environments. Ability to exercise courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and cultural sensitivity. Please note that the annual salary of $102,057.15.
