Learn more at www.adm.com.About the PositionThe Sales Manager will be responsible for the farm-direct fertilizer strategy and growth of sales into Canada and will have account ownership for customers in their specified region.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromote sales of ADM fertilizerDevelop lasting relationships with key customers to maximize salesConsult with key customers regularly regarding fertilizer price outlook and market trendsCoordinate sales execution with local terminal employeesPromote blended fertilizer and micronutrient salesAssist in regional product procurement when necessaryResponsible for proper customer account maintenance, including A/R and logistics for ADM contractsRequired Skills and QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Canadian Ag marketsDemonstrated capacity to excel within high risk, fast-paced work environmentProven ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisionsDemonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills along with understanding of how to sell to customersExceptional communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of the organization; portray positive image of self and company at all timesCommitted to corporate ethics policies and safety programsTeam playerPositive attitudeProficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. - Excel, Word, Access, Outlook) and social media communicationProficient in mobile apps and mobile technology used inside our retail platformEducation or Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with a range of 0 to 10 years of sales' experience in the marketing of fertilizer commodities or general Ag sector; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Sales background preferred
