JOB PURPOSEThe Physiotherapy Supervisor is responsible for supervising the provision of physiotherapy servicesQUALIFICATIONA University degree in a related field. Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapist of New Brunswick and eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.Must have three years experience as a physiotherapist in a health care setting.Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Physiotherapy Supervisor is responsible for:Assigning, overseeing, reviewing and evaluating service deliveryPlanning, directing and evaluating therapy programs and servicesProviding staff orientation and coordinating staff development programsServing as a professional practice leaderDeveloping and/or ensuring compliance with standards, policies and proceduresCoordinating or participating in student placementsPerforming the work of a physiotherapistCOMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY THE CANADIAN PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSOCIATION (2009) Assumes Professional ResponsibiliityDemonstrates Practice KnowledgeUtilizes a Practice ProcessThinks CriticallyCommunicates EffectivelyEngages in Professional DevelopmentManages the Practice EnvironmentCOMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY HORIZON HEALTH NETWORK Analytical ThinkingFlexibilityMentoring & CoachingPatient SafetyPatient/Client FocusPlanning and Prioritizing WorkProblem SolvingTeamwork and CollaborationInterested?
