We are currently seeking an experienced journeyman/woman plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in onsite coordinating, installing and completing smaller projects either on their own or with other team members.
The responsibilities of a Journeyman Plumber include reading P&ID?s, assembling new potable/waste-water treatment plants, commercial buildings in Calgary / Edmonton, camp installations, handling tools, and cleaning job sites.
Successful Journeyman plumber will be well-organized and detail-oriented. You should have good customer service skills, be able and willing to follow instructions, and be prepared to travel to different job sites.
Responsibilities include:
* Locating and identifying leaks.
* Repairing or replacing pipes and parts.
* Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
* Assisting with preparing cost estimates for clients.
* Helping the Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with local plumbing codes.
* Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
* Following the Project Manager/Plumbers' instructions.
*ACCOUNTABILITY & DECISION MAKING*
Scope and magnitude of financial, budgetary, cost, employee responsibility and decision-making.
· Issue PO?s to field contractors as required for on-site services. PO?s to be approved by Terra office.
*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE*
Years of experience combined with education, designations or certifications.
· 4+ years in the plumbing trade either commercial, residential, remote work camp installations or maintenance;
· Registered Journeyman
*SKILLS & COMPETENCIES*
The nature and extent of skills and competencies required to achieve the goals of the position.
· Must be reliable and punctual;
· Good communications skills, both written and verbal;
· Organized and the ability to multi-task;
· Ability to meet job requirements with little daily supervision;
· Ability to organize and maintain accurate equipment files;
· Excellent attitude toward workplace safety;
· Computer knowledge & skills in Word, Excel, Outlook; and,
· Valid driver?s license and a current abstract.
· Good Mechanical Aptitude
· Must be a positive team player with strong work ethic
· Must be able to work well with both clients and co-workers
· Able to lift, Move and carry up to 50 Lbs
· Operator tickets such as telehandler, Aerial Work Platform and Skid steer would be considered an asset
-Must be able to pass random Drug and Alcohol testing
