Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiriesMaintain and prepare reports from manual or electronic files, inventories, mailing lists and databasesSort, process and verify applications, receipts and other documentsProcess incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronicallySend and receive messagesPerform basic bookkeeping tasksPrepare and format page presentationCompile data, statistics and other informationPrepare invoices and bank depositsProvide general information to clients and the publicPhotocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filingOrder office supplies and maintain inventoryPerform data entryFile material in storage areaLabel, file and retrieve documentsLabel files according to retention and disposal schedulesLocate and remove files requestedOrganize and schedule office workPrepare and monitor contracts and budgetsStore, update and retrieve financial dataPrepare invoices, reports, data entry & related material from machine dictation & handwritten copy.-Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer-Order office supplies and maintain inventory-Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages-Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems-Determine and establish office procedures-Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information-Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person.
