We're on the lookout for a Senior Archaeologist to join us who will offer expertise in delivering cultural resource management services for ongoing projects, cultivating new business opportunities, and providing senior-level support and mentorship to team members. As a Senior Archaeologist at Madrone Environmental Services, you'll play a pivotal role in our team's daily operations, leveraging your wealth of experience, organizational prowess, and leadership acumen to spearhead the success of ongoing projects and cultivate new prospects. Collaborating closely with our dedicated team, you'll actively contribute to initiatives aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and delivering high-quality reports while fostering strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and First Nations communities. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our mission forward, ensuring excellence in every aspect of our work.
Your primary focus will be on overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring their seamless execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
*Qualifications and Attributes:*
* Bachelor?s or Graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology and possess relevant consulting archaeology experience.
* Demonstrate proficiency in the BC Heritage Conservation Act (HCA) and embrace the values of the _United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People_ (UNDRIP).
* Bring a minimum of five years of cultural resource management experience on the Northwest Coast.
* Are an approved Field Director for the Northwest Coast culture area and eligible to hold BC Provincial Heritage Permits.
* Have demonstrated project management skills and excel in client and stakeholder engagement.
* Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with _BC Archaeological Impact Assessment Guidelines_.
* Show a keen interest in mentoring and passing knowledge to future professionals.
* Thrive in various fieldwork activities, regardless of weather conditions, and possess a strong problem-solving mindset.
* Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Appreciate collaborating with a diverse team of professionals to effect positive change in the environment.

* Hold a valid BC driver's license with a clean record and a Level 1 WorkSafe BC recognized first aid certificate. Additional certifications are encouraged.
* Ability to furnish copies of an AIA, AOA, and PFR report for review, where you served as the senior author.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Establishing and cultivating strong client relationships with First Nations, the Regulator (Archaeology Branch), and both new and existing clients.
