Due to expansion and exciting new builds, Page Property Management is currently looking for a *Construction Superintendent* to join our Construction division. The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations worksite(s), to ensure we are achieving project objectives.
*Responsibilities:*
* Coordinate all subcontractors, consultants, materials and equipment to ensure timely completion; providing direction and resolving problems as needed;
* Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work;
* Assist in preparation of project schedule;
* Identify deficit work and provide resolution;
* Proactively anticipate problems well in advance to avoid schedule delays and/or rush orders;
* Maintain daily log of activities on job sites;
* Meet regularly with assigned personnel to ensure proper communication flow - raise and discuss relevant issues with personnel as needed;
* Control and monitor labour material and equipment expenses; assist in preparation of cost forecasting;
* Identify any issues in the construction process and communicate to Construction Manager for resolution;
* Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control;
* Maintain safe job sites and ensure compliance to all OH&S requirements;
* Ensure job site is kept in a clean and organized manner.
* Ensure that ?as build? drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction process;
* Represent the Company in a professional manner.
*Requirements:*
*Education/Experience:*
* Minimum 3-5 years? experience in a supervisory role of commercial and/or industrial construction projects;
* Journeyman?s classification in a skilled trade a strong asset (or a degree or diploma in a construction related field).
*Specific Skills & Knowledge:*
* Proven ability to solve problems;
* Ability to effectively lead others;
* Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
* Ability to interpret and implement blueprints and other construction drawings;
* Understanding of:
* Construction terms
* Project Management concepts
* Budget control concepts;
* OH&S legislation
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Professional in presentation and manner.
*General Requirements:*
* Criminal background check is required;
* Valid driver?s license; travel to various jobsites will be required.
* Occasionally lifting upwards to 50 pounds.
