Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including procurement, demand planning, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate inventory levels and optimizing supply chain efficiency.
Duties:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to meet company objectives
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand and plan inventory levels
- Analyze data and perform data mining to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement
- Negotiate with suppliers to procure materials at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss or theft
- Oversee the warehouse distribution process, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials
- Continuously evaluate inventory performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in inventory management or related roles
- Strong knowledge of demand planning principles and techniques
- Proficient in using MRP systems for inventory forecasting and management
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers
- Ability to analyze data using tools such as SQL for insights and decision-making
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and distribution processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
