*Position Overview*
In keeping with the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Hawthorne Seniors Care Community, you will be responsible for overseeing and participating in all aspects of facility management and maintenance operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, and facility upkeep.
*Summary of Role Responsibilities*
Our Maintenance Manager will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our infrastructure, including facilities, grounds, equipment, and systems. You will procure quotes for improvement or repair, manage infrastructure projects, manage vendor performance, and contribute to the strategic planning of our company's infrastructure needs. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead our current team consisting of Maintenance Coordinator and department personnel. This is a hands-on role that will support the completion of all maintenance related work order requests. As the Maintenance Manager you will be the first point of contact and possible attendee for all after hours emergency related calls and requests.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
*Infrastructure/Facilities Management:*
* Develop and implement strategic plans for the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure, including buildings, grounds, machinery, and utilities.
* Plan and implement the day-to-day maintenance operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
* Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of equipment and facilities.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations pertaining to Seniors care facilities.
* Coordinate and manage facility upgrades & renovations and contribute to plans around development and expansion.
* Source quotes from independent contractors for all maintenance and facility upgrades.
*Team Leadership:*
* Lead, coach, motivate, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and workers, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide training and development opportunities.
* Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
*Vendor Management:*
* Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers and contractors.
* Oversee service contracts and ensure vendors deliver quality services on time and within budget.
*Asset Management:*
* Maintain an accurate inventory of company assets, including infrastructure components and equipment.
* Develop and execute an asset management strategy, including lifecycle planning and replacement schedules.
*Budget Management:*
* Prepare and manage the facilities and maintenance department budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* Obtain competitive quotes for maintenance services, equipment, and supplies.
*Project Management:*
* Work with identified partners to plan and supervise infrastructure improvement and expansion projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project success.
*Compliance and Safety:*
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
