Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Commercial. Millwork/pre-fab shopwork. Residential. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Survey building locations and levels. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Personal suitability: Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Team player. Values and ethics. Punctuality. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Are you willing to relocate for this position?.
