The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety (CPPS) is responsible for overseeing Saskatchewan's correctional system and facilities, providing the safe and secure custody of adult and youth offenders and delivering programs that promote safety and reduce re-offending. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is hiring for multiple locations in Saskatchewan. As our successful candidate you will have: - Knowledge of the criminal justice system; - Knowledge of human behaviour to support positive change; - A valid Saskatchewan issued Class 5 Drivers License; - A valid First Aid and CPR/AED certificate with no less than 12 months remaining before expiration; - The ability to verbally and in writing, present clear, concise, timely and accurate information; - Critical thinking skills to exercise sound judgment, solve problems and apply appropriate interventions; - An inclusive, non-judgmental and culturally responsive approach; - Proficiency with various computer systems, software, and programs; and more! Typically, the requirements for success in this position are completion of a High School diploma and/or experience/education in the social sciences, correctional services, or similar discipline.
