Job details
Duties & Responsibilities - Operate equipment in compliance with company policies and safety procedures. - Perform pre- and post-shift inspections of overall machine condition.- Monitor performance of machine and report any deficiencies, unusual odors, sounds, or any symptoms which may indicate that the machine is not operating properly.- Adjust operation of equipment based on material and changing ground conditions.- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.- Valid Class 5 drivers license.- Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a mining environment is an asset.- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights. This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working 12-hour day and night shifts from 7:00 to 7:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off. The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.- LocationEstevan, SK
