Posting Number: T24-172<p>Date Issued: May 15, 2024POSITION <p>Worksite: Student Services / Various Schools<p>Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time <p>Assignment Area(s): School Psychologist (currently School Psychologist in training)<p>Salary Range: $57,973 to $106,217 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement) <p>Effective Date: September 1, 2024 until no later than June 30, 2025<p>Please Note: The assignment within this position in September may not be identical to the assignment in this posted position.<p>Deadline for Applications: May 24, 2024 - 12:00 pmElectronic Applications must be submitted through Make A Future www.makeafuture.ca and include a Cover Letter, Resume, Teaching Report, Transcripts & the names of 2 current supervisors who can comment on your teaching.Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience: <p>eligible to be registered with the College of Psychologists BC (CPBC) upon completion of a Masters degree in school/educational psychology <p>currently enrolled in a Masters degree program in school/educational psychology at a university with qualifications that meet the standard for membership in the College of Psychologists BC (CPBC)<p>professional teaching certificate preferred<p>completed coursework in professional ethics for school psychologists<p>qualified to administer and interpret up to and including Level C Educational, Psychological, and Behavioural Tests under the supervision of a registered school psychologist<p>current knowledge of Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures<p>excellent communication and interpersonal skills<p>demonstrated ability in consulting with teachers, parents, students and community agencies regarding the nature of students, strengths and needs, their educational implications, and ways to enhance learning and interpersonal relations<p>demonstrated ability in working with School-Based Teams, multi-disciplinary teams and Community Inter-Agency Care Teams<p>demonstrated ability to assist in the development of IEPs for referred students<p>willing to gather and prepare file reviews and all pre-referral documentation for psycho-educational assessments under the guidance of a registered school psychologist<p>applicants must possess a valid BC Drivers License and have the use of a vehicleFor Further Information Contact: Salvina Sharp, District Principal Student Services or Jessica Adams-Loupret, District Vice Principal Student Services (604) 794-5553
