Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Keep survey information in systematic order. Assist in the calculation, analysis and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys. Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, charts and plans. Keep records, measurements and other survey information in systematic order. Conduct field surveys and operate survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations and contours. Determine precise geographic locations using global positioning systems (GPS) equipment. Record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities. Supervise and co-ordinate field survey activities. Store, update and maintain databases. Analytical techniques: Statistics. Computer and technology knowledge: Geographic Information System (GIS). MS Excel. Database. ArcGIS. Area of specialization: Cartography. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Workplace information: Remote work available. Health benefits: Health care plan.
