Job Summary: We are seeking skilled Powerline Technicians. The Powerline Technician will be responsible for constructing, maintaining and repairing electrical power systems, working with power tools, and operating specialized equipment. Duties: Operate bucket trucks for elevated work on power linesAbility to climb poles, work at heights and work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of timePerform rigging operations to move heavy equipment safelyUtilize power tools to maintain and repair electrical systemsDemonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issuesWork with high voltage systems including hot live line work.Operate backhoes, diggers, skid steers and other equipmentProvincial Travel Required - Accommodation/LOA providedQualifications: Journeyman Powerline Technician Certificate and Interprovincial Red Seal CertificateApprentice Powerline Technician - Must have a valid Apprentice Power Line Technician Trade card from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.Strong knowledge of the Provincial Electrical Utilities Regulations and the Provincial Occupation Health & Safety Act, Regulations and CodesValid Class 3A Drivers License preferredDemonstrated ability to lead and effectively work on teams and mentor apprenticesStrong communication, leadership, teamwork and customer service skillsAbility to interpret drawings, develop/ interpret work, and plan projects for self and othersThis position offers the opportunity to work province wide in the Powerline field, providing valuable experience and growth potential for individuals interested in advancing their career as a Powerline Technician.
