Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Wind coils and armatures for small electric motors and transformers. Repair machine tools and parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement. Apprenticeship training: Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Electric motors. Area of specialization: Troubleshooting. Bearing, seals and packing. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication.
