Tasks: Drive heavy equipment to perform a combination of felling, slashing, bucking, bunching and forwarding operations. Operate a variety of machines which perform a combination of slashing, bucking, chipping, sorting and loading logs or trees. Write daily basic progress reports. Type of harvesting: Pulpwood harvesting. Saw log harvesting. Type of logging: Clear cutting (patch logging). Selective cutting. Equipment and machinery experience: Feller buncher. Feller forwarder. Shortwood harvester. Yarder. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination.
