*Job Overview* Kapush Energy is an Electrical and Powerline Contractor located in the Thunder Bay area. We focus on construction services in overhead and underground distribution systems. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Powerline Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible work assigned to assist with constructing, operating, and maintaining overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with power and hand tools, and the ability to work safely at heights and in a dynamic environment. The Line Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our infrastructure and equipment, supporting the overall success of our operations. *Responsibilities* * Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging tools to perform maintenance and installation tasks * Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems * Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging gear to complete repairs and modifications * Perform electrical work involving low voltage systems and ensure compliance with safety standards * Assist with the operation of bucket operation and other heavy machinery to facilitate construction or maintenance projects * Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment used * Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during operations * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively *Experience* * Experience in the construction & electrical industry and the demonstrated ability to work at heights. * Prior experience in industrial or construction environments is highly desirable * Proven experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging techniques * Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and maintenance * Electrical experience with low voltage systems preferred * Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and safety gear * Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics is a plus * Strong commitment to safety procedures and quality workmanship * Strong teamwork/collaboration skills *Conditions:* * Physically capable to meet the work environment demands * Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions * Ability to work at heights of up to 70 feet in an aerial device and/or on a pole * Available to work overtime, and in surrounding areas of Thunder Bay * Strong commitment to safety in the workplace- Will follow all Kapush Energy SWP and procedures, work protection codes, and occupational health and safety legislation.
