Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Area of specialization: Custom fabrication. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Welding helmet. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Team player. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?. Do you have experience working in this field?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
