*Job description* POSITION TITLE: *AZ Truck Driver* REPORTS TO: Fleet Supervisor BASIC FUNCTION: Delivering loads from Kingston, ON and Smiths Falls, ON to customers located in Ontario and Quebec. Applicants must have a positive disposition and the ability to communicate well with co-workers, management, and customers. JOB TYPE: Full-Time HOURS PER WEEK: Hours vary depending on season SALARY: Varies depending on experience ($25-$29 hourly) POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1 ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Inspects vehicle and trailer to ensure equipment is in proper operating condition. * Secures and inspects load to ensure materials are properly secured. * Operates truck/trailer combination to deliver material to various customers and locations in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. * Maintains appropriate driving records, logs and shipping documents. * Performs duties consistent with all applicable safety, MTO, and company rules, regulations and policies. * Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: * Must provide a clean three-year driver?s abstract. * Drivers should have five years of applicable experience, driving with a trailer. * Must be in possession of a current and valid AZ license. * Must be at least 25 years of age. * Wide load experience is an asset. * Experience operating a crane truck is an asset. * Demonstrated ability to determine if a vehicle is properly loaded, to block, brace and tie down loads, and to manually load/unload. * Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking. * Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow written and oral work instructions. * Demonstrated ability to climb onto load, to work in a wide range of weather conditions, to lift 100 pounds, and be on duty for up to fourteen hours in a day. Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Licence/Certification: * AZ Licence (required) Artificial intelligence will not be used to screen, assess, or select applicants.
