Our quantum computing platform, built on bosonic codes, represents promising direction in the field. While it is less mature than more ?mainstream? approaches, this emerging technology opens up exceptional opportunities for discovery and innovation. Key questions?quantum error-correcting code design, fault-tolerant operation, and the compilation of circuits down to control pulses?are not only central to our mission but are vibrant areas of active research across the scientific community.</p><p>The role of the Quantum Architecture Team is to guide the company?s mid- and long-term technology roadmap. This work has a direct and wide-ranging impact on all teams at Nord Quantique. To fulfill this mandate, the team maintains a close engagement with the scientific literature and collaborates with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to identify and define the milestones that shape our roadmap.</p><p>As a contributor, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate scientific leadership by defining, managing, and contributing to high-impact projects that address technological challenges at the heart of Nord Quantique?s mission. Beyond strong research synthesis skills, the role calls for initiative and creativity?qualities essential for advancing the frontiers of our technology and driving meaningful progress on our most critical objectives.</p><p><strong>Working within the architecture team the candidate will :</strong></p><ul><li>Define, lead and manage projects to research new bosonic multimode codes</li><li>Develop the theory of fault-tolerance in the context of bosonic codes</li><li>Propose key demonstrations in the technology roadmap</li><li>Lead interactions with key research partners</li><li>Perform a tight watch on the relevant scientific literature</li></ul><p><strong>Education and experience requirements :</strong></p><ul><li>PhD in quantum information, theoretical physics, mathematics or theoretical computer science</li><li>1-5 years of work experience in industry (including post-doc)</li></ul><p><strong>Sought expertise and knowledge :</strong></p><ul><li>Quantum error correction</li><li>Fault-tolerant quantum computing</li><li>Boso- Location Sherbrooke, QC
