The course serves as a hands on introduction to the description of structures and environments as a means of both production and critique.Sessional dates of appointment: May 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026Rates stipulated in the collective agreement shall prevail over rates stated in this posting.Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture (or related design discipline) and relevant professional experience in design.Preferred qualifications: A professional degree in architecture (Master's or Bachelor's) and a record of teaching architectural design at the undergraduate or graduate level. Demonstrated experience in architectural practice is an asset. Demonstrated design excellence is desired and will be evaluated through professional experience, design awards (if applicable), and a 1 2 page portfolio.Description of duties: Normal duties associated with the design and teaching of university degree courses or sections of courses. This includes preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars; development and administration of assignments, tests, and examinations; marking and grading of student work and submission of grades to appropriate University officials in accordance with policy; maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours; and supervision of the day to day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course. No expectation of, or requirement for, research or administrative service.This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. It is understood that some announcements of vacancies are tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolment.
