Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Hog management. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Wet/damp. Livestock. Work setting: Rural area. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Maintain quality control and production records. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate.
