Eataly's bustling marketplaces contain a variety of quick service counters featuring coffee and drinks, pastries and gelato, pizza and focaccia, paninis and grab-and-go meal options. The Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Lead assists with supervising and running the day-to-day operations of the QSR counters. Reports to the Director of Store Operations.Maintains a steady leadership presence on the floor, interacting with guests, team members and vendors to ensure Eataly's operations are running smoothly and high hospitality standards are metTrains, motivates, mentors and organizes team membersPurchases supplies, beverages and equipment per the direction of the QSR General ManagerMonitors inventory, checks orders and distributes supplies as needed throughout the departmentManages transactions and ensures accurate accountingRecords shift notes and assists with administrative duties such as scheduling when neededEnsures department complies with all quality, health, safety and sanitation standardsDocuments, investigates and resolves guest incidentsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred2+ years of lead or supervisory experience in food serviceMath skills and ability to handle money accuratelyStrong knowledge of steps of serviceExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of coffee and coffee productionKnowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAbility to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer and cash registerCompensationCompensation for this role starts at CAD $20.00 hourly, plus tipsThis position has been posted to fill a current vacancyAdditional InformationMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveRRSPFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!Company DescriptionEataly is the world's largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace!
