<p>IS2 is hiring <strong>Automotive Technician/Forklift Technician</strong> for a leading client in the material handling industry. This is a field-based role ideal for automotive or heavy equipment technicians looking for a rewarding and independent work environment.</p> <p>Great opportunity for automotive mechanics looking to transition into the forklift industry.</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Brantford, ON</p> <p><strong>Pay</strong>: $25.00–$45.00/hour (based on experience)</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Get</strong></p> <ul> <li>Company-provided service van (for work use only) + gas card</li> <li>Yearly tool and boot allowance</li> <li>Tuition reimbursement and ongoing training</li> <li>2-week paid training program (Mississauga – hotel provided if required)</li> <li>Benefits after 3 months; pension after 1 year</li> <li>Monthly team breakfasts and strong team culture</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Travel within your assigned service zone (e.g., Kitchener, Guelph, Brantford area) to service equipment</li> <li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts directly at client sites</li> <li>Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance</li> <li>Communicate with customers regarding repairs and service recommendations</li> <li>Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience as an automotive, truck & coach (310T), heavy equipment (421A), or industrial mechanic (310S) would be an asset, but not required</li> <li>Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (major asset) – as most equipment is electric</li> <li>Comfortable in a customer-facing, field-based role</li> <li>Ability to work independently without daily branch reporting</li> <li>Valid driver’s license required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Notes</strong></p> <ul> <li>Role is primarily field-based; technicians are assigned a local service area</li> <li>Ideal for mid-career technicians, but open to strong junior or senior candidates</li> <li>Great opportunity for automotive mechanics looking to transition into the forklift industry</li> </ul> <p>Apply Today!</p>- Location Brantford, ON
