Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Work setting: Wood products manufacturer. Furniture manufacturing company. Tasks: Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products. Operate gluing machines to glue pieces or wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces. Operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Replace parts as required. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Computerized woodworking machine. Drills. Gluing machines. Planers. Routers. Sanders. Saws. Door machine. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Own vehicle. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks.
