Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Outdoors. Noisy. Odours. Livestock. All weather conditions. Dirty. Work setting: Remote location. Room and board provided. Tasks: Handling animals. Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Track and report on current feed inventory . Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently.
