We are looking to hire for full time work. Immediate start dates available. * This position is for work in the Turtleford to North Battleford area* The Opportunity: The purpose of the Equipment Operator position is to assist in the construction of rural long haul fibre optic and urban FTTP - Fibre to the Premise networks. This position works outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions. What You Will be Doing: Working as a part of a team to install fibre optic cable and conduitWorking with direction drill and cable plow crews.Equipment operation: Cable plow, dozer, backhoe, directional drill, skidsteer, mini-ex etc.Landscape repair and remediation Ability to perform routine maintenance work as required is an asset Other duties as required. Qualifications: What You Need to Succeed: Valid Drivers' License Experience operating construction and/or landscaping equipment is an asset Must be able to lift 50lbs Nice to have:Experience in a telecom or utilities environmentExperience running construction or earthworks equipment.Ability to perform minor mechanical maintenance What we offer:Competitive compensationOpportunity for overtime hoursGroup health and dental benefitsRoom for rapid advancement and directional drill and locating training- Location Turtleford, SK
