The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) isa ?supra-municipal? organization with jurisdiction over<br>the territory of Québec located north of the 55th parallel. The KRG is currently seeking to recruit a<br>professional and motivated candidate to work in Nunavik, in the capacity of;<br>ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OPERATIONS, TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT<br>(PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION)<br>Reporting to the Director of the Transportation Department, the Assistant Director Operations has<br>responsibility for the safe and efficient operations at all 14 locations. More precisely, the Assistant<br>Director Operations will be:<br>? Responsible for ensuring the daily operations, management, and compliance of all 14<br>airports managed by the KRG, and the application of the Usijiit para-transit services,<br>marinas and public transit services;<br>? Responsible for overseeing the observation and communication functions at all applicable<br>airports;<br>? Responsible for the airside safety, passenger safety, security, terminal cleanliness and<br>relationships with all local airport stakeholders;<br>? "Responsible for the day-to-day operational implementation of each airport's regulated<br>documentation ? including aerodrome manuals, SOPs, the Airport Operation Manual, and<br>the Winter Maintenance Plan ? ensuring these are followed and kept current in practice;<br>? Collaborate with all departments responsible for providing services and duties, contributing<br>to the safe and efficient management of the airports, such as the Assistant-Director<br>Maintenance and Assistant-Director, Compliance, Environment, and Administration;<br>? Responsible for all airport Managers, Observers and Communicators and the Senior<br>Manager, Airport Operations and Airside Safety;<br>? Contribute to short and long-term planning, budgets and reports;<br>? Participate in the development and the implementation of departmental objectives;<br>? Develop and implement Procedures and Work Instructions as needed<br>? Ensure frequent management presence and personally visit each community, as deemed<br>necessary, to provide mentoring and support to KRG operational staff;<br>? Monitor performance and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across areas of<br>responsibility;<br>? Responsible for the operational implementation of the Plan of Operations during<br>Construction (PCO) at the airport level, working closely with MTMD throughout construction<br>projects to ensure coordination and safety of airport operations;<br>? Remain attentive and maintain relationships with all stakeholders;<br>? Perform any other related tasks<br>QUALIFICATIONS:<br>? Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public<br>Administration, or a related field; significant relevant work experience in airport operations<br>management may be considered in lieu of a degree;<br>? Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in airport operations management,<br>including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role overseeing a<br>multidisciplinary team;<br>? Experience managing a multi-site or network airport operation considered a strong asset;<br>? Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) or Certified Member (CM) designation from IAAE<br>Canada considered a strong asset;<br>? Good knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Transport Canada<br>aerodrome standards (TP312) considered an asset;<br>? Experience with public or para-transit operations considered an asset;<br>? Experience working in remote, fly-in, or Indigenous community contexts considered an<br>asset;<br>? Excellent planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills;<br>? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;<br>? Valid driver's license required;<br>? Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages: Inuktitut,<br>English, and French;<br>? Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other relevant softwa- Location Kuujjuaq, QC
