Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting. Cut carcasses, sides and quarters. Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat. Wrap and package prepared meats. Remove bones from meat. Weigh meats for sale. Cut poultry into parts. Price meat products. Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers. Grind meats. Prepare special orders. Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products. Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.- Location Calgary, ABT2P 3G6
