Dawson Co-op invites applications for 2 full-time & 1 part-time *Yard Clerks*, to join our team at our Home Centre located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Reporting to the Yard Manager and Yard Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing information, assistance and service to customers within the Yard Department and Warehouse. Yard Clerks are expected to maintain a high level of product knowledge for all lines of merchandise within their assigned area. *Responsibilities for this position include the following:* · Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude · Be dependable for all scheduled shifts · Provide outstanding and courteous customer service · Provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet or exceed their requirements and expectations · Assist customers to lift, load and unload their materials · Perform general housekeeping duties in the yard and shop area, such as sweeping and shovelling snow · Receive merchandise as directed by management · Process daily payable invoices as directed by management · Work to understand the point of sale (?*POS*?) system and be able to search for and find information to assist customers · Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures · Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union health and safety standards, per the Health and Safety manual · Take initiative to improve own knowledge, skills and abilities · Other duties as assigned *Qualifications and Educational Requirements* · Willing to learn · Customer service oriented, friendly and outgoing · Reliable and responsible · Emerging ability and desire to create positive relationships at all levels · Positive and results oriented attitude; to prospect, communicate and identify opportunities for success · Motivated self-starter · Requires physical fitness and endurance to safely lift, load and unload material up to 50 pounds; and ability to use other assistive devices and equipment for heavier items · Must complete a fit for work self-assessment · Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions · Valid Class Five driver?s license with a clean abstract is an asset · Ability to manage relationships at all levels *Compensation:* · $18.40 - $20.61 an hour · Employee Rebate *Benefits (Full-time Positions):* · Employee & family assistance program · Extended Health & Dental · Life & Travel Insurance · Pension Eligibility after 1 Year To apply, email your resume to hr@dawsonco-op.com Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.40-$20.61 per hour Application question(s): * This position requires lifting of materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
