*Overview* Join us on this new adventure. Magia E Zitta Roman Kitchen is opening up mid to late October. We will be specializing in Pinsa Romana and Roman type food. Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Manager and lead our culinary operations with energy, enthusiasm, and expert skill! In this vital role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure top-quality food preparation, and maintain exceptional food safety standards. Your leadership will inspire a motivated team dedicated to delivering outstanding customer experiences. We?re looking for a proactive, organized, and passionate professional eager to elevate our food service environment and foster a vibrant, team-oriented atmosphere. *Responsibilities* * Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. * Manage and train kitchen staff, including interviewing candidates, onboarding new team members, and providing ongoing coaching. * Oversee food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. * Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and optimal customer satisfaction. * Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and track food costs to optimize profitability. * Implement food safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with health regulations. * Operate POS systems such as Square or similar platforms for order processing and cash handling accurately. *Requirements* * Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management with a strong background in the food industry. * Experience with Italian cooking is mandatory. * Demonstrated supervising experience with team management skills that motivate and develop staff. * Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling techniques, and restaurant health regulations. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally. * Previous restaurant or hospitality experience, including kitchen experience in fast-paced environments. * Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement; experience in interviewing is a plus. * Additional skills such as bartending or barista experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
