Voisin's Maple Products is in search of a Kitchen Supervisor to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our food manufacturing kitchen. The successful candidate will lead production of sauces, jellies, seasonings and other specialty food products while ensuring products are made safely, consistently, efficiently and according to established formulas and quality standards. Some duties of these positions include, but are not limited to.... * Set up and operate production equipment including kettles, mixers, blenders, pumps, filling equipment and other processing equipment * Accurately weigh and stage ingredients according to approved formulas and batch sheets * Monitor cooking, mixing, processing, filling and packaging operations. * Ensure products meet established specifications for pH, temperature, consistency, weight, appearance, HACCP and other quality parameters. * Identify and address production issues quickly to minimize downtime and product loss * Ensure proper lot coding and traceability throughout production * bottling with both automatic and manual equipment * capping with both automatic and manual equipment * labelling with both automatic and manual equipment * boxing finished product and ensuring quality standards are met * printing labels on the computer * filling out daily production records * maintaining a clean work environment * Assign daily tasks and production responsibilities * Train new employees on production procedures, equipment, operation, sanitation, GMP's and food safety requirements * Communicate production issues, staffing requirements and equipment concerns to management *The selected member must:* * be reliable and punctual * have great attention to detail (ensuring lot codes are on each bottle, paperwork is correct, etc.) * Previous experience in food manufacturing an asset but not necessarily * Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, temperatures and production records * have a positive attitude * Prior HACCP knowledge an asset * be able to lift 50lbs * Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production work * asset to have basic computer, reading and writing skills * enjoy working in a fast pace environment Please submit your resume if you feel this fits you well! * Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour - Full time - Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Vision care Work Location: In person
