We are currently looking for a *Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentice *to join our team. Applicants must have experience in the ICI sector and be willing to commute to different job sites as needed. *Job responsibilities:* * Enrolled as a Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentice and be willing to work towards Steamfitter/Pipefitter certification * Mastered skills in lay out, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, repair and service equipment and piping systems carrying water, steam, fluids, gases, chemicals and fuel. This includes heating, cooling, lubricating and process piping systems. * Plan, layout and install piping materials according to project specifications, customer requirements and building codes as per ICI requirements. * Install, test and repair low and high-pressure steam and hot water boiler systems, process piping, gas, refrigeration, and air conditioning piping systems. * Understanding of rigging, hoisting & positioning procedures. * Work within company health and safety policies, practices and standards. * Understand the importance of workplace safety, building codes and regulations. * CWB certification would be considered an asset. * Ability or license to operate manlifts/(PEWP) for elevated work conditions. * Willing to actively participate in continuing education/training. * Ability to work in a busy environment and work well with others. * Have strong attention to detail. * Knowledge and ability to follow safe working practices. * Maintains a safe and tidy work site.
