What are the first steps to accessing Job Bank for Employers and what does my access type allow me to do?

After creating your user account, you can register one or more employers and manage all your employer files easily from your dashboard.

You can add multiple users to an employer file, as long as they have their own personal user account to sign in with.

Important: Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) is private, and it is illegal for anyone else to use it. You are responsible for protecting your SIN.

What each access type allows you to do in an employer file

Primary officer: The main point of contact for Job Bank. They can update employer file information, manage users, and create or modify job postings.

Each employer file must have a primary officer, and this person must be a business owner or director who is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Administrator: They have the same permissions as the primary officer but they cannot change the access type of the primary officer. An administrator can change their own access to “User” or “Viewer”.

User: They can create and modify job postings. They can also remove themselves from the employer file and change their access type to “Viewer”.

Viewer: They can review employer file and job posting information but cannot modify it. They can change their access type to “User” and remove themselves from the employer file.

Note: You may have access to more than one employer file. Your access type may vary for each file, depending on the needs of each business.
